SME Scholarship

I wanted to share this wonderful opportunity with you about the SME Education Foundation Scholarship Program.

Greetings from the SME Education Foundation!

The Foundation awards nearly a million dollars in scholarships annually to students pursuing manufacturing or engineering related degrees, at community colleges or 4-year universities. The Foundation offers both merit and need-based scholarships. By completing one application, students are considered for all Foundation scholarships for which they are eligible!

Awards range from $2,500 - $20,000. The application deadline is February 1st.

The SME Education Foundation inspires, prepares, and supports the next generation of manufacturing and engineering talent. The Foundation awards nearly a million dollars in scholarships every year to over 100+ high school seniors and undergraduate/graduate students pursuing degrees in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.   

If you are a manufacturing, engineering professional or educator with a STEM background, we invite you to join us and volunteer your time to review and score scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year.   

Prior experience is not required, and we provide all the necessary training and guidance. All you need is a few hours of time and a passion for supporting the next generation of manufacturing excellence. You do not need to be an SME member to participate.
